Is there such a place in Guild Wars that serves as somthing like a bank to store items in?

Hold the Alt key in towns/outposts and you'll see all the NPC's within range. Look for Xunlai Agent[Storage]. It will cost you 50g to open your storage for each character, after hat you can freely access storage.

i see you can do this in factions, but i cant find anywhere to find xunlai agents in prophecies. (pre-searing)
i'm new to the game and would like advice if i'm missing something about storage in pre-searing prophecies or moving items back and forth between my prophecies and factions chars?

There is no storage in presearing. When you get to post, then you can use storage.

thx 4 response. ive been searching everywhere thinking i was missing something.
will i eventually be able to transfer stuff from factions chars to prophecies chars and vice versa?

Yes, RPGManiac said something to that effect. Storage is account wide, so any character that has paid to access it can access whatever is in inside. Storage is of course not avaliable in Pre-Searing for this and other reasons.
